El Menú de Mi Casa

A book to heal your body.

Norma, the founder of La Cocina de Norma, believes that cooking is more than preparing a dish; affection and the intention to nurture, share and love are essential. She also believes, from personal experience, in the power of food to heal the body. She reached out to us to compile her favorite and most nutritious recipes in a book that would inspire many to find themselves in the kitchen, to share it with their loved ones and to eat healthier.

We designed a book that would express and share the love that nourishing your body represents. To accomplish this, we used a warm and clean typographic mix, a color palette reminiscent of nutritious ingredients with a warmer tone to remind us of the comfort of a hearty meal.

The layouts of the recipes were designed with the intention of communicating the above through a simple and clean design along with a bold title and a color accent in the recipe tip. For the other content, we introduced a more engaging design to create a deeper experience by using color backgrounds, bolder typography and different text and image layouts.
